Founded in December 2016 by Sean Parry, a tattoo artist with over 13 years of experience, the studio specialises in unique Celtic and Nordic knot work designs that are drawn directly onto the skin. The shop, apart from offering bespoke tattoo services, also features a variety of original artworks. These include paintings, t-shirts, art prints, postcards, jewellery, books, and pyrography. All the art displayed in the shop is created by the artists working in the tattoo studio or by respected craftsmen known for their exemplary work in Celtic and Nordic Art.

Sean finished my sleeve for me over the course of 4 days and I couldn't be happier with the result. Incredible staff and great conversation. This was an experience I won't forget. If you're into ancient Celtic/Nordic styles, you're probably already aware of their work!

Best Celtic Tattoo artists in the UK - Hamish has just finished my full back tattoo (18 hrs over 3 days) and it is everything I hoped for and more. Technically perfect - the fine detail and symmetry of the piece was sharp and spot on. Hamish took on my idea and sent me the design in the weeks leading up to sitting to refine it. But his vision needed very little input from me. As well as tattooing, Hamish is a Pictish and Celtic historian which he brings to his fantastic designs. His passion for the job was infectious and tbh I was honoured to be the canvas! Thank you Hamish - can’t recommend Sacred Knot enough.

Sean was great! He managed to create a tattoo from an idea I had in my head, and exceeded my expectations with the final result!The studio has a really cool vibe, full of amazing different ancient artefacts that I couldn’t stop looking at.Would recommend anyone to get a tattoo here if you like Celtic or similar styles.

I had the honor and pleasure of being tattooed by Sean Parry at the Hallein Celtic Museum! He is an extremely likeable and nice person and a true master of his art! The two tattoos are unique, wonderfully beautiful and expressive! I was beyond impressed by his gift and extraordinary talent! We were also able to admire him as a great musician at the Highland Games! Not to forget Grace, who welcomed us so warmly before the appointment! She is also an extremely likeable person! Very welcoming from the moment I stepped through the door and offered a drink.Had a tattoo completed by Gloria who did a fantastic job from start to finish. Made sure I was happy with the tattoo design etc before starting. The whole team on the day were very friendly.Felt at home and comfortable throughout the day.The studio it's self is very interesting, including art work and various ornamental pieces.Highly recommended, would visit again in the future for definite.

Got back from Llandudno yesterday after spending 3 days getting the first part of my Pictish and Norse inspired tattoo. These guys are geniuses. Their art is simply awe inspiring. I was lucky to be there when I was as some other members of the northern fire team where there too, so got to see all types of craft, from designs, to tattoos to leather work. Had tonnes of interesting conversations, banter, and brilliant hospitality. The team that work here are so welcoming and caring. Big thanks to Sean Parry for starting my project, I will be back for more work soon!

Outstanding shop with exemplary artists, devoid of attitude or arrogance. Just great artists and friendly people doing fantastic work. I traveled 3000+ miles to have Gloria tattoo me and haven't regretted it once! Every time I go out in public, I have a handful of people who ask me where I got my Ink, & I whilst I'm insanely proud of my work, I hate to see the look of disappointment on their faces when I tell them Llandudno Wales.😆Seriously though, if you can get there, it's worth the trip not only for superlative work, but for the friendly staff and the people scenery.

Absolutely quality, travelled from Australia to be here and it was worth every penny.Not only are they amazing artists here, but they're amazing people too. The whole place has the most welcoming environment and it really makes the experience that much better.

Come here for top notch ink in Nordic or Celtic style. Sean and Gloria are wonderful people, highly skilled artists and totally professional. The vibe was so relaxed and friendly it puts you totally at ease. Impossible to recommend enough.
